Matthew J. Carpenter
Matthew J. Carpenter focuses his practice on land use, commercial real estate, and real property litigation. Matthew represents and advises landowners and developers throughout the life of a development project, from the initial planning and zoning stage to the issuance of building permits. He represents clients before local governing boards, planning boards, and boards of adjustment in municipalities including the City of Raleigh, Town of Cary, Town of Morrisville, and Town of Apex.
Matthew received his JD from Campbell Law School in Raleigh where he focused on real property law and received the Book Award in Real Property Planning. While in law school, Matthew interned for Judge R. Christopher Dillon on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and clerked for a local real estate firm. Prior to attending law school, Matthew worked as a land surveyor on commercial and residential projects throughout the Triangle.
